Giulia Porino is a PhD student in Socio-Economic and Statistical Studies at Sapienza University of Rome. Her doctoral project focuses on the under-representation of women in the financial sector. She holds an MA in Economics at University of Turin and a post-graduate specialization at Solvay Brussels School Economics & Management. She worked on microfinance in Italy and as a researcher on environmental risks in Central America. She now works at Finance Watch, public interest association dedicated to making finance work for the good of society. She is also involved at European level with gender-pay-gap issues and gender equality.
