Justice (Retd.) Prabha Sridevan served as a judge of the Madras High Court from 2000 to 2010. Her judgments Include cases dealing with freedom of speech, child rights, gender equality, disability rights, mental health, protection of water bodies and environment, rights of the depressed classes and Dalits, right to education, right to information, protection of heritage buildings, the worth of the homemaker’s work, and the Novartis case and the Compulsory licence case. From 2011 to 2013, Chairman of the Intellectual Property Appellate Board.
She was named as one of the 50 most influential persons in the world of Intellectual property in 2012, 2013 and 2015. She was also named as one of World IP Review’s Influential Women in IP 2020.
