YSI fosters conversation among those who wish to engage with new economic thinking and connects young scholars to the Institute’s vast network of economists.

Christian Westerlind Wigstrom

A third-year doctoral student at the University of Oxford, Christian Westerlind Wigstrom has been working with Robert Skidelsky at the intersection of economic policy and theory since the beginning of the financial crisis. Over the last year, he has co-edited a book, The Economic Crisis and the State of Economics (Palgrave Macmillan), with Robert Skidelsky and has published op-eds in the Swedish press on fiscal policy. Since September 2010, Christian is the executive secretary of the UK branch of INET’s economics-curriculum task force’s.
