David Harris is a Ph.D. candidate at West Virginia University. Current papers include a disproof of mean-variance finance by contradiction, a bankruptcy and merger risk estimator, a replacement for Black-Scholes and work on the mathematics of explosive time series. His previous research work was to develop Software Management Best Practices for Defense Acquisition University through Booz Allen Hamilton while employed through the non-profit research firm ISR. He was a researcher in the Defense System’s Management College’s IT Team Dynamics Program through ADI Technology, also through ISR. In addition to his academic work and research work, he has worked in a wide variety of roles in banking, insurance, brokerage, cost accounting and investment management. He lives with his wife and four children in Fairmont, West Virginia.
