Marco Lamieri has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Turin and is an economist in the Economic Research Department of Intesa Sanpaolo. He was formerly an Associate Researcher at the Complex Systems Lagrange LAB, Institute for Scientific Interchange Foundation, Turin, Italy. His research fields are in financial economics, banking and international trade. Besides mathematical and statistical methods, he uses agent-based modeling and network analysis, with particular focus on modeling realism using empirical data and stylized facts. Marco is a member of the Board of Statutory Auditors of GEI - Gruppo Economist d’Impresa (Italian Business Economists Association), the Economic Sciences Association, the European Social Simulation Association, and the Italian Society for Cognitive Sciences.
